Hello /ᐠ. .ᐟ\ฅ Welcome to the very first update of a new legacy I am posting- the Bell legacy. I am not following any rules, I'm just having a good time. Also, I know the header is kind of ugly. I'll probably re-do it later but right now I'm lazy orz

Attitude problems aside, Emma's first order of business it to start a painting and earn some cash, as any good founder would do. Luckily, this actually works in her favor as her hobby is arts & crafts

 

 

Which all ends up working in my favor as well since there are no jobs available that Emma is interested in

 

 

Right. I suppose I should mention I've been playing in this town for a while with other families that I either got bored of or they just didn't end up working out. Here you can see one of the victims of a previously failed salon business

 

 

Emma: Oh gosh, a town with history, I sure hope there aren't any scary ghosts around

 

 

Emma: But if there are...I could protect you, you know

 

She has a way with the ladies, what can I say

 

 

Ol' rainbow overalls here isn't especially impressed with many of the townies either

 

 

But at least she likes Emma which is what matters I guess. Who's supposed to be protecting who from those hypothetical ghosts by the way?

 

Angela: You are safe now, in my arms

 

 

I don't have a caption for this. She's just really pretty and I needed filler. Perceive my founder this is a threat

 

 

Between painting breaks, Emma does manage to find a job she actually wanted. Which is good because while her two dollar paintings are very nice, they aren't exactly going to be covering the bills
 

 

Okay, girl, get with the program. We are BROKE, remember? 

 

 

Emma: So uh, did you wanna hang out and talk about ghosts some more?

 

 

Now who in the hell is this. That is NOT who I was trying to invite over

 

 

That's more like it! And thank god that....I don't even know is he like a medieval priest or something? Good thing he's here to chaperone

 

 

They do move inside away from whoever that guy was after a while

She may not bring much to the table, especially not money, but at least she can make pancakes

That's a lot of free money

 

 

With that we can finally afford FOUR chairs at the dining table instead of just one. We will have a mansion before we know it

 

 

Hooray ^^ money for more chairs

 

 

Emma: Welp, now that I'm rich and successful and own more than one chair, I think I've earned a nice relaxing bath

 

 

 

These two's idea of romance is constantly beating the shit out of each other with pillows. It's anarchy around here, I tell you

 

 

Okay okay, we only recently got chairs for the kitchen table who do you think you are asking for an entire car

 

 

We really need to be watching our money because soon there will be a whole other human to feed

 

 

And I don't want to name names, but SOMEONE still hasn't found a job

 

Angela: Well someone has to lay around on the couch all day and look pretty

 

 

Angela is in fact so chronically unemployed that she can't even bother to get up and make lunch for her poor pregnant girlfriend, resulting in many disasters such as this

 

 

You're looking at a real power couple here: one of them works on paintings to sell while on maternity leave from her job as the only person in the house with an income, and the other sits on the floor and writes about garden gnomes

 

 

How does this keep happening?? 

 

 

Another one?? Maybe Angela doesn't need a job after all since people just keep handing out free computers we can sell

 

 

Angela: Hehe. I have mastered the art of underperforming

 

 

Since Emma is out of commission for pillow fights at the moment, Angela has to keep inviting people over so she can still play with someone

 

 

Emma: Alright so here are my big ideas

 

Star: Ew. No. Absolutely not.

 

 

 

Harsh. But it must be done

 

 

Angela wanted to throw a party, which isn't really big news, but that notification always makes me mad. What do you mean you're too good for my party, huh? You don't want to get accosted by water balloons and forced into a pillow fight?? Coward

 

 

Actually the only person who did bother to show up was the nice witch. What is it about this lot that attracts random men in gaudy outfits

 

 

Angela's friend, Serilla, was already here, but apparently she'd had enough and decided to go to bed. Sure, why the hell not

 

 

Whatever, that means more pizza for me and Emma

 

 

Come on man. Can't a girl at least finish her pizza first :(

 

 

I have no idea where Angela was but she couldn't even be bothered to show up to the birth of her own child. The only person who cared was this random dude who was outside for some reason and decided to let himself in

 

 

Well, despite an admittedly rough start, meet the first baby of the ~whole legacy~ Hollis. He got Emma's hair color and eyes

 

 

Eventually, in the morning, Angela finally realizes she is a mother now

 

Angela: Oh wow you're actually really cute 

 

 

Hollis good luck charm? After getting him settled back in, Angela finally finds the job she wants

 

 

Emma: Bone apple teeth, I guess

 

 

Sigh. Emma would rather just die of food poisoning or starvation than actually learn to cook

 

 

Emma: I have to practice my video game skills so I can impress my son

 

 

Emma: This is too hard. :( He'll never think I'm cool at this rate

 

I'd say I think she's cool...but I did watch her pop out a baby on top of a slice of half eaten pizza, largely alone in the kitchen at like two in the morning, and then eat moldy leftovers of said pizza all within like twelve hours so. 

 

 

I hate chance cards. I guess just give it back who cares

 

 

Um. We definitely do not have one thousand dollars for that

 

 

We are officially the brokest we have ever been. Ladies, we are in critical levels of broke right now

 

 

Emma: God damnit this is the worst day ever

 

I can't even blame her. I'd honestly be pissed too if my girlfriend lost quite literally all our money immediately after we had a baby whom which she didn't even bother showing up to the birth of

 

 

You are on thin fucking ice, Angela

 

 

Angela: Hey I'm super smelly right now does anyone wanna hear more about how stinky I am??

 

Literally no one cares would you just go inside

 

 

Who even are you!! What did we do! Have we not suffered enough!

 

 

For the first time ever, Angela finally makes herself useful by fixing the computer. I mean, she is the one who broke it in the first place but I'll take what I can get at this point

 

 

Emma continues to remain unbothered and flourishing

 

 

Angela: OOh wow these omelets smell soo good I'm such a good cook and sexy also

 

Thin. Ice.

 

 

God I'm so scared. But we are so desperate for money

 

 

Okay. Angela you are officially forgiven

 

 

And you know what? I have decided to finally grant them a car

 

 

Of course, not for Angela though

 

 

But who cares about that shit- it's Hollis' birthday!

Emma can't possibly teach Hollis how to walk- she's busy being pregnant again

 

 

Thankfully Hollis is a pretty chill toddler. He's generally content to just hang out in his crib with his little sheep whenever I am so focused on not letting Emma die that I forget he's there

 

 

Despite being asleep 90% of the time, Emma still manages to be a good mama

 

 

I'm so proud of them

 

 

Emma: To celebrate our achievements, I will read you this book about magical apples

 

 

Hollis honestly didn't give a shit about the magic apple book. He takes after Emma and just wanted to draw

 

Hollis: Drawing means eating the crayons...I think

 

He's getting there

 

 

Hooray

 

 

And back to work she goes. I hate putting sims in the athletic career because building up all those damn body skill points takes forever :') That's why she's been a bit MIA

 

 

Well goddamn, Emma. I literally don't know what you want from me. I'm doing my best here

 

 

Emma: Am I supposed to give all this spaghetti to him??

Emma, wait, no, stop

 

 

It took some effort but she figured it out eventually

 

Another Salon Victim: So, like, wizards? Right? No one's talking about this

 

 

Pleasure sims are so fun...always pranking each other....haha...

 

 

Later, a celebrity to me and only me walks by the house. This is Althea- the founder of one of my many abandoned legacies in this town

 

 

Angela: Damn I should read more books. I don't know literally any of these answers

 

At least she is self aware

 

 

Angela: And you know what? it's all your fault specifically

 

Well. Maybe not so much after all

 

 

Hollis: *nervous laughter* What are you doing

 

Normally I get annoyed when randos pick up my toddlers but Althea gets a pass

 

 

Hiro? I think that was his name: Hmph I got yelled at and it's all your fault

 

 

Does no one in this town have any emotional regulation skills

 

 

At least Hollis is doing okay. For now.

 

Hollis: Horsey :)

 

 

Ah. It is that time again

 

 

At least Angela decided to actually show up for this one

 

 

This is Ena! She also got Emma's hair and eyes

 

 

 

Birthday time again! but this update is getting long, so we will have to finish our celebration next time

 

Hollis: But wait, I almost finally gained independence

I haven't done any legacy writing in such a long time, but I'm having a lot of fun doing it again :) I apologize in advance if these first few updates are a bit boring while I get back into the swing of things, but I hope you enjoy them regardless!

I haven't really decided on an update schedule yet. I don't get the same days off work every week, so it's a bit hard to plan around that. In the past, I've always posted on tuesdays, but today is a friday. So, I guess I will aim to update either every friday or every other friday, but for now I'm just going to kind of play it by ear
